S.H.I.N.E. RECOVERY SERVICES
What is S.H.I.N.E.?
S.H.I.N.E. (Sober Health Initiative-Elevate) is a rural community health initiative aimed at increasing access to medication-assisted treatment for individuals with Substance Use Disorder (SUD), Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) or Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) in Greenbrier County.
Office-based MAT Services Available
- Medication-assisted treatment—FDA approved medications for opioid use disorder
- Prescriptions e-prescribed to pharmacy of choice
- Counseling—group and individual
- Testing and treatment for Hepatitis C
- Wound treatment
- In-person and telehealth visits available
- Referrals to supportive services
- Continued care including relapse prevention

Harm Reduction Efforts
- Naloxone training and distribution to reduce the risk of fatal overdose
- Fentanyl & xylazine test strip distribution with educational materials
Recovery IS Possible!
We are here to assist you throughout your recovery from addiction no matter what stage you are in. You are NOT alone.
- Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialists (PRSS) are available to assist you with lived experience, guidance, advocacy, and mentorship.
- Through a partnership with CHESS Health, we are able to offer the Connections App which allows patients to connect with others in recovery, and have 24-hour access to an experienced PRSS, a library of recovery resources, virtual meetings, and crisis assistance.
